Equality and Diversity

The visually impaired population is diverse: it comprises blind people with little or no residual sight and partially sighted people who have varying degrees of low vision.

In the interest of diversity, EBU has established dedicated working groups who specialise in specific segments of the visually impaired population: women, senior people, the youth, people with low vision, deafblind people and people with additionnal disabilities. The working groups provide expertise so that the specific needs of the visually impaired group as a whole are understood and addressed.
